Favourite
dive spots:
Bonaire....
Stayed many times at Black
Durgon Inn (at Hato - 4km north of downtown Kralendijk)- relaxed, geared to diving, only 10 rooms,
run by Al
Catalfumo & family: Al is SSI/PADI
Instructor. Step out of your room, into the garden, kit up in his secure
equipment store (rinse tank, hanging space, locked at night) and off his jetty
into subaquatic paradise at Small Wall. All rooms basic, very clean, en suite and air conditioned.
Al
provides air
for his guests at minimal cost. Guided dives and all SSI (some PADI) courses available. I am hooked.
Find it on Bonaire

Bonaire
lives up to its legend.

The best dive shop is run by Bruce Bowker at the Carib Inn (tel.717 8819), on the Bvd. Lulio A. Abraham (just past
the Divi Flamingo Casino); excellent stock, good prices and very competent
technical support.
Exmouth, NW Australia
This is the place to dive
the Ningaloo Reef. Swim with whale sharks (mind-boggling)
March-May, fabulous reef diving all year, dugongs, wobegong sharks,
mantas....WOW!

Exmouth is quiet (no traffic lights, no McDonalds!) - good eating at Whalers.
The Cape Range National Park is nearby - beaches, gorges, creeks, canyons,
'roos,
emus....steeped in outback history.
Don't go for the night-life - BYO!
From Perth fly north to Learmonth (20K from Exmouth) on SkyWest.
